A country farmhouse silhouette in a semi flush fitting
The Pickering Lane collection draws its inspiration from the country farmhouse aesthetic of Northern Europe in the early 1900s. This 3 light semi flush fitting gathers three seeded glass shades and candle effect lamps around a central frame, keeping the warm, gathered look of a farmhouse fitting while sitting close to the ceiling.
Black finish
In Black, the frame takes on a strong, graphic outline that lets the seeded glass shades stand out, working well in a farmhouse kitchen or hallway, or anywhere looking for a bit of contrast against lighter walls and cabinetry.
How it works
This fitting doesn't come with bulbs, so you'll need to add three candle style bulbs to your order. It is designed to be used as a semi flush fitting, though additional chain links can be added if you need it to hang lower for a higher ceiling. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
Pickering Lane suits farmhouse, country and traditional interiors, working well in kitchens, hallways and landings where a semi flush fitting is needed. It is an indoor fitting throughout, so it isn't suited to bathrooms or anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
It was 1955 when Murray Feiss began wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases from a small workshop in the South Bronx, finishing each with a shade hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Three generations of family ownership later, the business had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, with its design heritage now part of Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe, converting designs like this Pickering Lane semi-flush to 220 to 240V wiring. Pickering Lane draws its design from the country farmhouse aesthetic of Northern Europe in the early 1900s.
