Rather than sitting flush to the ceiling, the Paulson mini pendant hangs on a short drop, giving the same rows of individual glass rods a bit more presence where ceiling height allows. It suits spaces wanting a small hanging feature rather than a flush or wall mounted fitting.

The story behind Feiss

Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting the brand's collections, Paulson included, for 220 to 240V electrical systems, part of a design heritage now held by Visual Comfort & Co. That heritage traces back to 1955, when Murray Feiss opened a small lighting business in the South Bronx, New York, built around imported European porcelain figurines wired into lamp bases and shades his mother, Rose, hand sewed. Three generations of the same family grew that business into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. Paulson leans on a vintage inspired silhouette of its own, its glass rod shades built from rows of individual clear rods rather than a single moulded shade, a detail that sets it apart from Feiss's more classically ornamented ranges, seen here as a small hanging pendant.
