Feiss Merrill 2 Light Flush Fitting - Heritage Bronze

A clean lined flush light for porches and covered entrances

The Merrill 2 light flush fitting keeps the range's simple geometric drum shape, sitting close to the ceiling and finished with cream etched glass that softens the light without hiding it. It is a more understated alternative to a traditional lantern, while still doing the practical job of lighting a porch, covered entrance or outbuilding from above.

Heritage bronze finish

The soft Heritage Bronze finish gives the fitting a warmer, more traditional feel than the black alternative, working well against brick, stone or render alike. Paired with the cream etched glass, it has a gentler, more welcoming glow than a starker clear glass version would give.

How it works

This fitting does not come with a bulb, so you will need to add one to your order. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, particularly outdoors, where correct wiring and weathersealing matter.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, it is built for covered outdoor spots such as porches, entrance canopies and outbuildings, rather than fully open positions exposed directly to driving rain. Sitting flush to the ceiling, it also suits lower headroom areas where a projecting lantern would not fit comfortably.

The story behind Feiss

Few decorative lighting brands still trace back to one family: Feiss is one, its story starting in 1955 when Murray Feiss began wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases in the South Bronx, the shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Three generations of ownership later, that business had grown into one of America's best known names in the category, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, converting designs such as this Merrill flush fitting to 220 to 240V wiring. Merrill takes a cleaner, more geometric approach to outdoor lighting than many of Feiss's more period influenced ranges.
