The weathered washed grey finish has a soft, slightly aged look rather than a flat paint, and works with the floral shaped bobeches and strands of wood beads to give a gentle, romantic character. It suits French country, farmhouse and softer traditional interiors rather than anything sleek or industrial.

How it works

This chandelier hangs from the ceiling and does not come with bulbs, so you'll need to add six to your order, one for each light. As with all ceiling fittings, we would recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.

The story behind Feiss

Hand sewn lampshades, stitched by Rose Feiss, were the finishing touch on the earliest Feiss lamps, built around imported European porcelain figurines that her son Murray wired up in a South Bronx workshop in 1955. Across three generations that workshop grew into one of America's best known decorative lighting brands, its range eventually spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and today its design heritage belongs to Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe, adapting the designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Maryville carries a softer, French country character through the collection, its floral shaped bobeches and trailing wood bead strands all finished in the same weathered washed grey.
