The story behind Feiss

Feiss traces back to 1955 and Murray Feiss's small South Bronx workshop, where imported European porcelain figurines were wired into lamp bases and topped with shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Three generations of family ownership later, that workshop had grown into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and the Feiss design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections such as Malibu for 220 to 240V electrics. Malibu itself is one of the brand's more pared back, architectural ranges, built around that stepped frame detail rather than a period specific style.
