A single drop of Lucia crystal, simply hung
The Lucia single pendant strips the collection back to one lamp, one linen shade and one cluster of sunflower shaped Bauhinia crystal, hung on its own drop. It's the simplest way to bring the collection's crystal detailing into a smaller space or as one of a repeated run.
Burnished Silver finish
Burnished Silver gives the frame a soft, slightly aged sheen that lets the crystal take the attention. On its own, it makes a neat single point of light and sparkle rather than a large statement piece.
How it works
The single lamp position sits behind a linen shade with a glass bottom diffuser, and takes its own bulb, which isn't included. We'd recommend a qualified electrician for the installation, as with any ceiling pendant.
Where it works best
Its smaller scale suits a landing, bedside or smaller room, or a run of several hung in a line above a console table or breakfast bar. It's an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Feiss
Since 2012, UK and European customers have been able to buy genuine Feiss designs through Elstead Lighting, who adapt the American originals, this single Lucia pendant included, to 220 to 240V electrics. The brand itself started in 1955, when Murray Feiss set up in the South Bronx wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases, with shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Three generations of family ownership turned that venture into one of America's leading decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and the design heritage today sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Lucia's identity comes from sunflower shaped Bauhinia crystal set into a Burnished Silver frame, a transitional design that runs from single pendants right up to full chandeliers.
