A compact Lucia pendant built for repeating over an island
The Lucia single mini pendant scales the collection's sunflower shaped Bauhinia crystal and Burnished Silver frame down to its smallest drop, designed to be hung singly or repeated in a row. It brings a touch of crystal sparkle to a spot that a full sized pendant would overwhelm.
Burnished Silver finish
Even at this smaller scale, the Burnished Silver frame keeps its soft, slightly aged tone, so a run of these pendants reads as considered rather than repetitive. The crystal still catches and scatters light in the same way as the rest of the collection.
How it works
The single lamp position sits behind a linen shade with a glass bottom diffuser and needs its own bulb, which isn't included. We'd recommend a qualified electrician for the installation, particularly if you're wiring in more than one at once.
Where it works best
Its small scale and suitability for kitchen islands make it a natural choice hung in a row over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, as well as singly over a smaller table. It's an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Feiss
Lucia runs right through the Feiss range, from flush ceiling fittings up to full chandeliers, built each time around sunflower shaped Bauhinia crystal set into a Burnished Silver frame, and this mini pendant is among its smallest expressions. The name behind that design goes back to 1955, when Murray Feiss started a small lighting business in New York's South Bronx, importing European porcelain figurines to wire into lamp bases, with his mother Rose sewing the shades by hand. Three generations of family ownership took that beginning and built one of America's best known decorative lighting houses, its work eventually spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. That design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co., and Elstead Lighting has represented it across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting the wiring for 220 to 240V systems.
