The story behind Feiss

Wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases was how Murray Feiss started out in 1955, working from a small South Bronx workshop while his mother Rose hand sewed the shades that finished each lamp. Three generations later, that workshop had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Hounslow takes a simpler approach than much of that heritage, pairing an elongated glass dome with exposed lamping for an on trend, stripped back look.
