The Feiss Harrow 2 Light Flush Fitting takes the traditional profile of a tapered shade and updates it with on trend clear seeded glass, held in a sleek frame that sits close to the ceiling. It's a design that reads as classic and current at the same time, which is where the Harrow collection makes its mark.
Polished nickel finish
In Polished Nickel, the frame has a bright, cool shine that lets the texture of the clear seeded glass do most of the talking. It works well in a hallway, landing or bedroom that's after a transitional look, somewhere between traditional and contemporary.
How it works
Two bulbs sit inside the tapered seeded glass shades, and neither is included, so you'll need to add two to your order. We recommend a qualified electrician handles the wiring in.
Where it works best
Because it sits flush to the ceiling, this is the fitting to reach for in a room with lower ceilings, such as a hallway, landing or bedroom, where a hanging pendant wouldn't suit. It is an indoor fitting throughout, so keep it to living spaces rather than anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
Elstead Lighting has been the UK and European home for Feiss designs since 2012, adapting collections such as Harrow to 220 to 240V wiring, while the Feiss design heritage itself now rests within Visual Comfort & Co. Go back further, though, and the story starts in 1955, when Murray Feiss opened a small lighting business in the South Bronx built around imported European porcelain figurines, with shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Over three generations that operation became one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range stretching to chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. Harrow takes the traditional profile of a tapered shade and updates it with clear seeded glass and a square linked chain, landing somewhere between classic and contemporary.
