With six lights arranged around a hand painted Gilded Silver frame, this chandelier is the biggest, most dramatic fitting in the Gianna collection, designed to fill a larger room with the same delicate crystal detailing that runs through the rest of the range, drawn from elegant Italian interiors of the 1900s.
Gilded Silver finish
The hand painted Gilded Silver finish has a soft, aged shimmer that plays well against the crystal detailing on each arm, giving the whole fitting real sparkle once lit. It suits classic, traditional interiors, and rooms with an existing sense of occasion.
How it works
This chandelier doesn't come with bulbs, so you'll need to add six of your own, one for each arm. Given its size and weight, we would recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation, ideally with a second pair of hands.
Where it works best
Its scale suits larger dining rooms, entrance halls or living rooms with higher ceilings, somewhere the fitting has room to be seen properly. It's an indoor fitting, so it belongs in these kinds of living spaces rather than anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
Visual Comfort & Co. is now home to the Feiss design heritage, with Elstead Lighting bringing collections such as Gianna to the UK and Europe, adapted for 220 to 240V systems since 2012. It's a long way from where the brand began: a small lighting business Murray Feiss set up in the South Bronx in 1955, built around imported European porcelain figurines and shades his mother Rose hand sewed. Across three generations, that operation grew into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its output ranging from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and outdoor fittings. Gianna draws on elegant Italian interiors of the 1900s, and this six light chandelier is its largest, most dramatic expression.
