Feiss Galena Single Medium Wall Lantern - Sable

A mid sized wall lantern for standard entrances

Sitting between the smallest and largest wall lanterns in the range, this single light medium wall lantern gives a bit more scale and presence than the compact version, without moving up to the largest option. It is built around the same clean lined, seeded glass design that runs through the whole Galena collection.

Sable finish

The Sable finish keeps the fitting understated against most brick, render and stone, while the seeded glass adds enough texture to catch the eye without looking fussy.

How it works

This fitting does not come with a bulb, so you will need to add one to your order. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, and that applies especially outdoors, where the fitting needs to be wired and sealed correctly against the weather.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, it suits a standard sized front door on a semi detached or detached house, either as a single fitting beside the door or paired either side of it.

The story behind Feiss

Long before Elstead Lighting began adapting its designs for the UK and Europe in 2012, Feiss had already spent decades building a name for itself in America. Murray Feiss founded the business in 1955 in the South Bronx, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and having his mother Rose hand sew the shades. Three generations of family ownership turned that start into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, a heritage now held within Visual Comfort & Co. Galena, adapted to 220 to 240V wiring for the UK market, takes a pared back approach to the outdoor lantern, built around clean lines and seeded glass rather than heavier ironwork or period detailing.
