A large drop pendant that brings Fusion's banding overhead
The Feiss Fusion 3 Light Large Pendant hangs from a circular ceiling plate on a set of outer rods, which support a circular frame wrapped in ribbed opal glass with a glass diffuser at its base. Unlike the flush and semi flush versions of Fusion, this one is built to drop, giving the banded frame room to become a real focal point.
Painted natural brass finish
In Painted Natural Brass, the metalwork has a warm, understated glow that sits well against the pale, frosted ribbed glass, and the extra drop of this large pendant lets that contrast read clearly from across the room. It works equally well in a traditional dining room or a more contemporary open plan space.
How it works
Three bulbs sit inside the frame behind the ribbed opal glass, and none are included, so you will need to add three to your order. As with all our lighting, we recommend a qualified electrician handles the wiring in, particularly for a multi bulb pendant like this one.
Where it works best
With its generous drop, this pendant is suited to a room with the ceiling height to spare, hung over a dining table or in a stairwell or hallway with a double height ceiling. It is an indoor fitting throughout, so keep it away from anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
It was 1955 when Murray Feiss started a small lighting business in New York's South Bronx, building lamps around imported European porcelain figurines and having the shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Three generations on, that modest venture had become one of America's foremost decorative lighting names, its output ranging across chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its heritage now continues within Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has brought Feiss designs, this Fusion pendant included, to the UK and Europe on 220 to 240V systems. Fusion takes its cue from Arts & Crafts design, its linear brass banding, run both vertically and horizontally, equally suited to traditional and contemporary rooms.
