A hanging coach lantern for a porch or covered entrance
The English Bridle medium chain lantern hangs rather than fixes flat to the wall, suspended from a ceiling bracket by a length of chain so it sits proud of a porch roof or covered entrance the way a traditional coach lantern would. Its three lights sit behind clear seeded glass within the same paned frame as the rest of the collection.
Black finish
In Black, the hanging frame reads as crisp and graphic, standing out cleanly against a light coloured porch ceiling or pale stone entrance. It has the traditional silhouette of a coach lantern with a more contemporary edge.
How it works
This lantern takes three bulbs, none of which are included. Rather than fixing flat to a wall, it hangs from a ceiling bracket by its chain, so you will need a solid fixing point in a porch roof or soffit as well as a registered NICEIC electrician to complete the installation and weatherproofing.

The story behind Feiss
Three generations of one family stand behind the Feiss name, starting with Murray Feiss, who set up shop in the South Bronx in 1955 wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases, the shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. That small business went on to become one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, covering chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and today its design heritage sits within Visual Comfort & Co. In the UK and Europe, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss since 2012, adapting collections such as English Bridle for 220 to 240V wiring. English Bridle takes its inspiration from the English countryside and the coach lanterns of a traditional stately manor, offered in British Bronze or Black to suit softer or more graphic garden schemes.
