A substantial coach lantern for a grand entrance
The English Bridle large wall lantern is the biggest of the collection's wall mounted lanterns, a genuinely substantial three light fitting built for a grand entrance, a wide porch or a house that can carry a bigger piece of ironwork. Clear seeded glass fills the paned frame, giving the fitting real presence without losing the collection's old world charm.
Black finish
On a larger fitting like this, the Black finish creates a strong, confident silhouette, standing out clearly against most facades rather than blending quietly in. It has the look of traditional ironwork rendered at a genuinely substantial scale.
How it works
This larger lantern takes three bulbs, none of which are included, so you will need to order them separately. Given its size and weight, secure fixing to the wall matters, and we would recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles both the installation and the weatherproofing of the cable entry.

The story behind Feiss
Murray Feiss's mother, Rose, hand sewed the shades for the first lamps her son made in the South Bronx in 1955, lamps built around imported European porcelain figurines wired into their bases. What started as a small family concern grew, over three generations, into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, its range eventually taking in chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and the Feiss design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe, adapting the brand's designs, English Bridle among them, for 220 to 240V electrics. English Bridle itself is styled after the English countryside and the coach lanterns of a traditional stately manor, available in British Bronze or Black for softer or more graphic garden schemes.
