A low level pillar light for boundaries and paths

The Cotswold Lane 2 light medium pillar is a shorter, low level freestanding fitting, closer to a bollard than a full height pedestal, making it suited to marking a boundary, a path edge or a low wall rather than standing tall at a gateway. It shares the same antique gas lantern detailing as the rest of the collection.

Black finish with bevelled glass

Finished in black, it has the same formal, traditional look as the taller pedestals and lanterns in the range, and the clear bevelled glass adds a touch of sparkle at a lower, more intimate scale. Its shorter height sets it apart from the pedestal and post versions in the collection.

How it works

This pillar doesn't come with bulbs, so you'll need to add two to your order. As it's an outdoor fitting typically wired below ground, we'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation, including running a suitably protected cable to the base.

With an IP44 rated, weatherproof build, it's designed for outdoor use marking paths, boundaries or low walls. Its lower height makes it a good option for lining a path or driveway edge, where a taller pedestal or post would look out of scale.

The story behind Feiss

Every Cotswold Lane fitting sold by Moonlight traces its way back to Elstead Lighting, who have represented Feiss in the UK and Europe since 2012 and adapted its designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Feiss itself was founded much earlier, in 1955, when Murray Feiss set up a lighting business in the South Bronx built on imported European porcelain figurines wired into lamp bases, with shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. The family business he started grew, across three generations, into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and outdoor fittings, and now forms part of Visual Comfort & Co. This particular pillar carries the antique gas lantern character that runs through the whole Cotswold Lane range, its bevelled glass and architectural moulding giving it a more formal, traditional feel than Feiss's plainer outdoor designs.
