A retro pendant with a contemporary edge
Beso takes its cue from 1970s pendant design, spun from steel into a simple, rounded shade and painted white on the inside to help the light spread evenly. This is the mini size, the smallest in the collection, well suited to spaces where several pendants are used together.
Dark Bronze finish
In Dark Bronze, the spun steel shade has a deep, matt character on the outside that contrasts with the bright white interior, giving the fitting a strong, graphic look whether it is grouped together or used singly.
How it works
This pendant doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. It is supplied with ample cable, so it can be hung in both high and low ceiling situations, adjusted to suit the space. We recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
Beso is designed for bars, restaurants, kitchens and serveries looking for a contemporary look, and works just as well at home over a kitchen island, breakfast bar or dining table, especially when grouped together. It is an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Feiss
Three generations after it began, the Feiss family business had grown into one of America's best recognised names in decorative lighting, its catalogue stretching across chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. That growth started from modest beginnings in 1955, when Murray Feiss set up in the South Bronx, New York, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and relying on his mother Rose to hand sew the shades. The Feiss name today sits within Visual Comfort & Co., while Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its designs, Beso among them, to 220 to 240V electrical systems. Beso itself looks back to 1970s pendant design, its spun steel shade reworked here for bars, restaurants and contemporary kitchens.
