A larger retro pendant in brushed steel
Beso takes its cue from 1970s pendant design, spun from steel into a simple, rounded shade and painted white on the inside to help the light spread evenly. This is the medium size, giving a bit more presence than the mini version while keeping the same clean, retro silhouette.
Brushed Steel finish
Brushed Steel gives the shade a soft, matt sheen that reads as understated rather than shiny, working well in a contemporary kitchen or serving area where a more neutral metal tone is wanted.
How it works
This pendant doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. It is supplied with ample cable, so it can be hung in both high and low ceiling situations, adjusted to suit the space. We recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
Beso is designed for bars, restaurants, kitchens and serveries looking for a contemporary look, and works just as well at home over a kitchen island, breakfast bar or dining table, especially when grouped together. It is an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Feiss
UK and European customers have been able to buy Feiss lighting since 2012 through Elstead Lighting, which holds the licence to adapt the brand's designs, Beso included, for 220 to 240V electrical systems. The Feiss name itself now belongs to Visual Comfort & Co., the product of three generations of family ownership stretching back to 1955, when Murray Feiss started a small lighting business in the South Bronx, New York, built around imported European porcelain figurines wired into lamp bases and shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Along the way the business grew into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range eventually spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. Beso itself looks back further than any of that, to 1970s pendant design, its spun steel shade reworked here for bars, restaurants and contemporary kitchens.
