An ultra clean take on the antique socket pendant
The Baskin collection by Feiss takes the classic antique socket pendant light and gives it an ultra clean, modern finish. This is the first of two silhouettes, a single drop pendant with a leaner, more tapered profile than its rounded sibling, wrapped in clear thick glass that brings warmth and sparkle once lit.

In Polished Nickel, the fitting takes on a bright, contemporary edge that suits modern kitchens and dining spaces. The reflective finish plays well against the clear glass, adding a bit of sparkle without feeling ornate.
How it works
This pendant doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order, choosing a size that sits comfortably within the glass shade. As with all our lighting, we recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.

Baskin is designed with kitchen islands in mind, hung singly or in a row over an island or breakfast bar, though it also suits a single drop over a side table or in a dining area. It is an indoor fitting, suited to kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces rather than anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
It was Rose, mother of founder Murray Feiss, whose hand sewn lamp shades gave the family business its early character, finishing the imported European porcelain figurines Murray was wiring into lamp bases from a small workshop in the South Bronx, New York, back in 1955. That start grew over three generations into one of America's most recognised decorative lighting names, its range eventually stretching from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and fittings for outdoors. Today the Feiss design heritage lives on within Visual Comfort & Co., while here in the UK and Europe, Elstead Lighting has represented the brand since 2012, reworking designs like Baskin for 220 to 240V wiring. Baskin itself reinterprets the classic antique socket pendant, paring it back into these two clean, contemporary silhouettes.
