A tapered pendant with rustic warmth
The Baskin collection by Feiss takes the classic antique socket pendant light and gives it an ultra clean, modern finish. This is the leaner of the two silhouettes, a single drop pendant with a tapered profile, finished in a combination of Painted Aged Brass and Dark Weathered Zinc that brings texture and warmth to the clean lines.

This finish combination works well in a more rustic decor, sitting comfortably against reclaimed wood, dark cabinetry or exposed brick. The clear thick glass keeps the light bright while the metalwork carries the character.
How it works
This pendant doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order, choosing a size that sits comfortably within the glass shade. As with all our lighting, we recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
Baskin is designed with kitchen islands in mind, hung singly or in a row over an island or breakfast bar, though it also works well as a single drop over a side table or in a dining area. It is an indoor fitting, suited to kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces rather than anywhere exposed to the weather.
The story behind Feiss
Murray Feiss opened his lighting business in the South Bronx, New York in 1955, building it around imported European porcelain figurines wired into lamp bases, with his mother Rose finishing each one with a hand sewn shade. Three generations of the same family carried that business forward, growing it into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. The Feiss design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co., and Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Baskin for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Baskin itself takes the classic antique socket pendant and pares it back into two clean, contemporary silhouettes, this one finished in a rustic combination of Painted Aged Brass and Dark Weathered Zinc.
