A lighter, more contemporary take on the Allier flush fitting
This Allier flush mount fitting uses the collection's light oak orb rather than the darker weathered wood, paired with opal glass and a Brushed Steel finish rather than the forged iron of the other colourway. It's the same kiln dried, crack resistant orb, just dressed for a cleaner, more contemporary room.
Light Wood and Brushed Steel finish
The Light Wood orb has a paler, more even grain than its weathered counterpart, and with the opal glass and Brushed Steel fitting around it, makes an elegantly contemporary statement rather than a rustic one. It suits interiors with lighter woods, whites and cooler metals.
How it works
The single lamp position needs its own bulb, which isn't included, so you'll want to add one before installing. We recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring in, as with any ceiling fitting.
Where it works best
As a flush fitting, this is suited to hallways, landings or any room with a lower ceiling where a pendant isn't an option. It's an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Feiss
Rose Feiss spent the earliest days of the family business hand sewing lamp shades, the finishing touch on lamp bases her son Murray had wired with imported European porcelain figurines from his small South Bronx workshop, founded in 1955. Over the following three generations that workshop grew into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range eventually covering chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. The Feiss heritage today sits within Visual Comfort & Co., and Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Allier for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Allier takes its name from the French forest whose oak supplies traditional wine barrels, a heritage of aged, kiln dried timber carried through here in this lighter finish of wood, opal glass and Brushed Steel.
