A Victorian inspired pendant chandelier with rosette detailing
The Adams 4 light pendant chandelier takes its cues from Victorian era design, with four glass orb shades and vintage cast rosette detail carried through the crown, ceiling canopy and centre strap. The extra light makes this the larger of the two Adams sizes, giving a fuller spread of decorative detail across the fitting.
Antique Nickel finish
The Antique Nickel finish gives this larger Adams pendant a cooler, softly aged tone rather than a bright, polished look. It works well in rooms with pale walls or natural stone, and complements other nickel or chrome fittings without competing with them.
How it works
This pendant takes four bulbs, none of which are included, so you'll need to add these to your order. It's wired into the ceiling via its canopy, and as with all ceiling lighting, we'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
With four lights arranged around the centre strap, this larger Adams pendant suits bigger hallways, stairwells or dining rooms where a stronger decorative statement is wanted. The Victorian styling and Antique Nickel finish work particularly well in period homes, though it can hold its own in a contemporary setting too.
The story behind Feiss
It took three generations for the Feiss family business to grow into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, its range eventually running from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and outdoor fittings. That growth began in 1955, when Murray Feiss opened a small operation in the South Bronx, New York, built around imported European porcelain figurines wired into lamp bases and finished with shades his mother, Rose, sewed by hand. Visual Comfort & Co. now holds the Feiss design heritage, and Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its collections, Adams among them, for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Adams itself looks further back than the Feiss story, drawing on the ornate glass orbs and cast rosette detailing that defined Victorian era lighting design.
