The wall mounted version of Abbey's classic look
The Abbey single wall light brings the same monastery inspired shape and a gold, mushroom pleated shade to a wall mounted fitting, for spaces that call for a wall light rather than a ceiling fitting.
Silver sand finish, gold pleated shade
The soft, hand brushed silver sand finish and the gold, mushroom pleated shade carry the same classic, transitional character as the rest of the collection, scaled down to a single shade suited to a wall.
How it works
This wall light is fixed to the wall on its own back plate and does not come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. As with all wall fittings involving mains wiring, we would recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
Being a single wall light, it works well used in pairs either side of a mirror, fireplace or bed, or singly along a hallway or landing. It is an indoor fitting, suited to living, dining, hallway and bedroom spaces.
The story behind Feiss
European porcelain figurines, wired into lamp bases and finished with shades hand sewn by his mother Rose, were what Murray Feiss built his lighting business around when he founded it in the South Bronx in 1955. Three generations of family ownership later, that small start had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its work spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and today its design heritage sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, converting its ranges to 220 to 240V wiring. Abbey takes its name and shape from monastery architecture, appearing here in its simplest, single armed wall mounted form.
