The Abbey five light chandelier is the biggest hanging fitting in the collection, carrying the same monastery inspired shape across five arms, each finished with a gold, mushroom pleated shade.
Silver sand finish, gold pleated shades
Spread across five arms, the soft, hand brushed silver sand finish and the gold, mushroom pleated shades read as a proper centrepiece rather than a background fitting, while keeping the same classic, transitional character as the rest of the range.
How it works
This chandelier hangs from the ceiling and does not come with bulbs, so you'll need to add five to your order, one for each light. As with all ceiling fittings, we would recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.
Where it works best
At five lights, it suits a larger dining room, an entrance hall or a living room with the ceiling height to hang it properly. It is an indoor fitting, suited to living, dining and hallway spaces.
The story behind Feiss
Abbey takes its name and its shape from monastery architecture throughout the collection, and this five light chandelier, finished with gold, mushroom pleated shades, is the largest version the range has to offer. The Feiss name behind it dates to 1955, when Murray Feiss founded a small lighting business in the South Bronx, importing European porcelain figurines to wire into lamp bases, his mother Rose hand sewing the shades. Three generations of family ownership grew that company into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. That design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co., and Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its ranges for 220 to 240V wiring.
