The Faro Stan Projector Spotlight in white is a compact, single headed spot designed to put light exactly where you want it. Its clean cylindrical barrel sits on a low circular mount and pivots at the joint, so you can angle the beam onto a painting, a shelf, a reading chair or an architectural detail. If a room has a spot that feels flat or overlooked, this is a tidy way to draw the eye to it.

The white finish

Finished in a soft matte white, this single Stan projector is quiet on the wall or ceiling and happy to disappear into a pale scheme rather than compete with it. The body is made from aluminium with an ABS diffuser, giving a crisp, slightly industrial cylinder that reads as considered rather than utilitarian. Where a darker finish makes a deliberate statement, the white version is the discreet choice, blending into plaster, painted brick or a neutral wall while still doing the directional work of a proper projector.

How it works

Stan is a directional projector with a rotating head, so the barrel tilts and turns to aim the light after it is installed. It takes a single replaceable GU10 bulb, which is not included, leaving you free to choose the beam angle, colour temperature and output that suit the space. Faro rates the fitting for a maximum of 8W. It is not dimmable. As a mains fitting for wall or ceiling mounting, Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where it works best

A single Stan spotlight is ideal where you need one focused pool of light rather than general illumination. It works beautifully as picture and artwork lighting, over a display niche or bookshelf, beside a bed as a directional reading spot, or in a hallway to highlight a feature. Because it is a single head, it suits smaller walls and tighter corners where a twin or multiple spot would be too much, and several used individually can build a flexible, layered lighting scheme across a living room, studio or home office.
