The Dark Grey square finish

This version pairs a crisp 90mm square format with a textured dark grey finish on cast aluminium. The muted grey powder coat is designed to settle against natural stone, render, brick and modern grey cladding, reading as part of the wall rather than an object stuck onto it. The square profile gives a clean, contemporary line that suits minimal exterior schemes, while the angled internal pocket directs the glow neatly onto the surface below. If you prefer a horizontal emphasis, the same family is offered in a rectangular form and other finishes, but the square dark grey unit is the most understated of the group.

How it works

Light comes from an integrated LED rated at 1W with a warm 3000K colour temperature, giving a gentle, welcoming tone rather than a cold white. Because the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or replace. The fitting is designed to be recessed into the wall, and Faro supplies the flush mount box and the driver in the box, so the working parts are included ready for installation. It runs on a standard 100 to 240V mains supply. As a hardwired mains fitting, Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

The Sedna 90 is made for gardens, terraces and the approach to a home. Set it low into a boundary wall to light a path, into the riser beside a flight of garden steps, or along a driveway edge to define the route without floodlighting the space. It works beautifully in a run of several units for a rhythm of light down a terrace or porch wall, and its quiet form suits both traditional and contemporary exteriors.

Weather resistance

This luminaire carries an IP65 rating, which means it is fully protected against dust and against jets of water from any direction. In practical terms it is built for full exposure to the British weather, standing up to driving rain on an open wall rather than needing the shelter of a porch or overhang.
