Its body forms a smooth semicircle, almost a half disc, that sits close against the wall, while a single slim glazed slot along the flat edge lets the light escape in a clean linear wash. The dark grey finish

This version wears a textured matte dark grey finish over its die cast aluminium body, a tone that reads as a deep anthracite in daylight and recedes softly against render, brick, stone or timber cladding. The fine grain of the coating catches the light with a subtle, tactile quality rather than a glossy sheen, so it suits contemporary and pared back exteriors particularly well. How it works

The Pill uses an integrated LED light source, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. Faro specifies the module at 3.5W with a warm 3000K colour temperature, which gives a soft, welcoming glow well suited to entrances and garden walls. The light is directed through the glazed strip on the flat edge, producing a focused band of illumination rather than a broad flood. The lamp is designed to be surface mounted on the wall and wired to the mains. As with all mains powered exterior fittings, Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
