A nautical harbour lantern for the outdoors
The Faro Nautica 350 Wall Lamp brings the character of a working harbour to garden walls and doorways. Its shape is unmistakably maritime: a gently curved gooseneck arm reaches out from a round wall plate to a wide, conical metal shade, and beneath it sits a rounded bubble glass diffuser held inside a protective metal cage. It is the kind of fitting that looks as though it has weathered a few seasons by the coast, which is exactly the point.
The rust finish in the larger 350 size
This is the rust version, an aged, mottled reddish brown that reads as gently oxidised metal rather than a flat painted colour. The tone suits brick, natural stone, timber cladding and rendered walls, and it earns its place on country cottages, coastal homes and rustic or industrial exteriors. The 350 is the larger lamp in the Nautica range, standing around 52cm tall with a shade roughly 34.5cm across and projecting about 35cm from the wall, so it holds its own on a broad expanse of wall or either side of a generous doorway where the smaller model would look lost.
How it works
The lamp is wall mounted and mains powered. It takes a single E27 screw fit bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the light you prefer, and Faro gives a maximum of 15W, which points towards a warm, efficient LED. The bubble glass diffuser softens and scatters the light for a relaxed glow rather than a harsh beam, while the metal cage adds to the fisherman's lantern look. The fitting is not inherently dimmable, though it will dim when used with a compatible dimmable bulb and dimmer switch. As a hardwired mains fitting, Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
Nautica is built for exterior use, lighting porches, front and back doors, garden walls, terraces and courtyards. With an IP33 rating it is protected against sprayed water, which makes it ideally suited to sheltered and covered positions, such as a porch, a recessed doorway or a wall under an overhang, rather than a spot fully exposed to driving rain. Mounted in a protected location it gives a welcoming, characterful pool of light that suits period, coastal and rustic properties particularly well.

Questions People Ask
How is the Faro Nautica 350 different from the smaller Nautica 280?
The Nautica 350 is the larger lamp in the range at around 52cm tall against the 280's 34cm, so it suits a wider stretch of wall or a more generous doorway where the smaller size would look out of scale.
Can the Faro Nautica 350 be dimmed?
The Faro Nautica 350 is not inherently dimmable, though Faro notes it will dim if fitted with a compatible dimmable bulb and dimmer switch.
Is the Faro Nautica 350 suitable for a wall exposed to driving rain?
Faro rates the Nautica 350 at IP33, protected against sprayed water, so it is best mounted somewhere sheltered such as a porch, recessed doorway or a wall under an overhang rather than fully open to the weather.
Does the Faro Nautica 350 include a bulb?
No, the Faro Nautica 350 takes one E27 screw fit bulb up to 15W and the bulb is not included.
