The Faro Nat is a slim, recessed outdoor light that sits flush into a wall to wash a soft band of light across the surface below it. Its horizontal, rectangular form is deliberately understated, with a matt white face that reads as a neat detail by day and disappears into the wall once the low, glare controlled glow takes over at night. It is designed for quiet, functional exterior lighting rather than a decorative statement, guiding the eye along a path, step or boundary without a bright bulb ever being in view.

The white finish

This is the white version of the Nat, finished in a clean matt white that suits rendered walls, painted masonry, pale brickwork and contemporary exteriors where a darker fitting would stand out. An internal angled reflector directs the light outward and down through a recessed diffuser, so the source stays hidden and the effect is a smooth, even spread rather than a hard spot. A Dark Grey version of the same fitting is available separately if you need it to blend into a darker or more industrial surface.

How it works

The Nat uses an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. Faro rates it at 8W with a warm 3000K colour temperature and an output of around 330 lumens across a wide 120 degree spread, which gives a welcoming, warm toned light suited to relaxed outdoor settings. The body is built in die cast aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser, and it is a mains fitting recessed into the wall via a cut out, not a surface mounted or plug in light. As a hardwired product, Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where it works best

Recessed into a garden wall, retaining wall or the riser of an outdoor step, the Nat is ideal for marking paths, driveways, terraces and entrances with low level guidance lighting. It works beautifully in runs along a walkway or across a flight of steps, and its discreet profile makes it a natural choice for modern gardens, patios and façades where you want the light to be seen but not the fitting. With its IP65 rating it is equally at home on an exposed exterior wall or around a porch.
