A flush square light that guides your feet, not your eye
The Nase is a neat square recessed light made for low level exterior lighting, the kind of quiet, well placed glow that guides you along a path or up a flight of steps after dark. Rather than lighting a whole area, it casts a soft directional wash from an angled reflector set into the face, so the light falls where you need it while the fitting itself stays discreet in the wall.
It is a clean, contemporary shape with rounded corners that sits almost flush once recessed, making it a tidy choice for modern gardens and exteriors where you want the lighting to be felt more than seen.
The dark grey finish
This version wears a textured matt dark grey, an anthracite tone that reads as a soft charcoal against render, brick, stone or timber. It is an easy colour to live with outdoors, recessing into darker walls and holding its own against pale render without drawing attention in daylight. The square faceplate is built from aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser, a pairing Faro Barcelona favours for exterior fittings because it stands up well to weather while keeping the profile slim. If you are matching several fittings across a scheme, this is the darker of the Nase finishes, alongside a white option in the same square form.
How it works
The Nase uses an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. Faro specifies a 3W SMD LED at 3000K, a warm white that suits garden and terrace settings and keeps the light gentle rather than stark. The driver is included, and the lamp runs on standard 220 to 240V mains, which means it is a hardwired fitting rather than plug in or solar. It measures roughly 9.4cm square with a recess depth of about 5.7cm, so the wall or structure needs a suitable void behind it. Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
This is a fitting for the edges and thresholds of outdoor space. Set into a garden wall it becomes step lighting or a path marker, recessed beside a porch or entrance it offers a welcoming low glow, and run in a line it can pick out a terrace edge, driveway or flight of stairs. It is ideal for signal lighting, the subtle cues that help people move safely around a garden at night, and works equally well on facades and boundary walls where you want illumination without a visible fixture.
About Faro Barcelona
Faro Barcelona designs its own collections from Castellbisbal, on the edge of Barcelona, and engineers its outdoor ranges for weather resistance, typically with integrated LEDs and warm colour temperatures. The Nase sits within that outdoor family, combining die cast aluminium and polycarbonate with a compact recessed form.

Questions People Ask
How deep a hole does the Faro Nase need behind the wall?
The Faro Nase needs a recess of around 5.7cm deep behind a 92mm by 87mm cut out, so the wall or structure must have a void of that size before installation.
Is the Faro Nase bright enough to light a whole patio?
Not on its own. The Faro Nase produces around 100 lumens from its 3W integrated LED, which suits gentle step, path or facade lighting rather than lighting a whole patio, so it works best as part of a run of several fittings or alongside other outdoor lights.
Can the Faro Nase be fitted somewhere that gets rained on directly?
The Faro Nase is rated IP44, protected against splashing water from any direction, which suits walls, steps and sheltered exterior positions, though it is not rated for direct water jets or fully submerged conditions.
What is the beam angle of the Faro Nase?
Faro states the Nase has a 120 degree beam angle, giving a fairly wide spread of light rather than a narrow, focused beam, which helps it wash light evenly across steps or a path.
