A directable up and down glow for garden walls
The Nairobi is a compact outdoor wall light with a quietly sculptural shape. Its softly curved face and split lower edge send light both up the wall and down towards the ground, so a single small fitting delivers a gentle wash of illumination in two directions. The result sits somewhere between functional and decorative, giving a wall texture and warmth after dark rather than a flat, floodlit look.
The rust finish
This version wears a warm rust brown finish, a matte earthy tone that reads as a soft weathered copper rather than a hard metallic. It settles comfortably against brick, timber cladding, natural stone and planted borders, and it is a good alternative to the usual black or grey exterior fittings when you want something with a little more warmth. The compact, upright form keeps it discreet on the wall while the rust colour lets it feel considered rather than utilitarian.
How it works
The Nairobi uses an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. Faro rates it at 6W with a warm white 3000K colour temperature and around 380 lumens, which gives a cosy, inviting light suited to exterior walls rather than a cold, clinical glow. The body is made from aluminium with a glass element, and the directable wings let you adjust how the up and down beams are thrown to suit the wall and the effect you want. It is a hardwired, mains powered fitting. Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
This is an outdoor wall light for gardens, terraces, porches, entrances, courtyards and façades. The up and down light effect makes it particularly effective either side of a door, along a garden wall, or repeated down the length of a terrace or driveway to draw the eye through a space. It suits modern and contemporary exteriors, and the pairs of soft beams work well where you want atmosphere and gentle wayfinding rather than bright, wide coverage.
Weather resistance
The Nairobi carries an IP54 rating. In practical terms it is protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction, which makes it suitable for open exterior walls exposed to rain and typical British weather, not just sheltered or covered positions. As with any outdoor fitting, mounting it on a sound, well sealed surface will help it perform at its best over the years.
About Faro Barcelona
Faro Barcelona designs its own collections from Castellbisbal, on the edge of Barcelona, with a particular strength in material selection and LED engineering. Its outdoor ranges, the Nairobi among them, are built around weather resistance and warm colour temperatures, which is reflected here in the aluminium construction and the 3000K integrated LED.

Questions People Ask
Can the Faro Nairobi be used on an exposed, uncovered wall?
Yes. The Faro Nairobi carries an IP54 rating, so it is protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction, which means it can be fitted on open exterior walls exposed to rain rather than only in sheltered positions.
How bright is the Faro Nairobi?
The Faro Nairobi produces around 380 lumens from its integrated 6W LED, enough for a soft decorative wash up and down a wall rather than bright floodlighting.
Can I adjust the direction of the light on the Faro Nairobi?
Yes. The Faro Nairobi has directable wings above and below the fitting, so you can angle the up and down beams to suit the wall and the effect you want.
Does the Faro Nairobi give light in one direction or two?
The Faro Nairobi has two integrated LED light sources built into a single fitting, one directed upward and one downward, so it lights the wall in both directions from one point.
