A ground level light built to be walked on and driven over
The Faro Loth is a low profile surface light designed to sit almost flush with the ground, guiding the eye across a garden or drive without ever drawing attention to itself. This is the four light version, with a raised central dome ringed by four diffuser windows that throw warm light outward in four directions at once, making it a natural choice for marking the middle of a path, the crown of a driveway or an open area of paving where light is needed from every side.
Finished in matt black, it reads as a quiet dark disc by day and a soft pool of illumination after dusk. The muted finish settles easily into stone, gravel, decking and planting rather than standing out against it, which suits contemporary landscaping and more traditional gardens alike.
The black finish and four light form
The body is made from die cast aluminium with a durable matt black coating, paired with an opal polycarbonate diffuser that softens the output and hides the LED behind an even glow. The rounded, compact profile measures roughly 20 cm across and only about 4.2 cm tall, so it stays discreet underfoot. Two fixing points let it be screwed down firmly onto a hard surface. Faro rates the fitting to take a load of up to 2000 kg, which means it can be walked over and driven over, a genuinely useful quality for a light set into a driveway or a busy path.
How it works
Light comes from an integrated COB LED rated at around 13W, drawing on mains power at 220 to 240V. The colour temperature is 3000K, a warm white that keeps outdoor spaces feeling relaxed rather than clinical. Because the LED is built in, there are no bulbs to buy or replace over its life. As a mains fitting it needs hardwiring into your outdoor supply, so Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
With its four way spread of light and its very low height, the Loth is made for lighting the ground itself: paths, garden walkways, patios, terraces and driveways, as well as steps and thresholds where a low glow helps with footing at night. The 2000 kg load rating opens up positions that most decorative fittings cannot handle, such as the centre of a drive or a paved courtyard. It is a good option for anyone wanting subtle, functional signal lighting that stays out of sight until it is needed.
Weather resistance
The Loth carries an IP67 rating, which means it is fully protected against dust and against temporary immersion in water. That is a high level of protection, well beyond simple splashing, so the fitting copes with driving rain, standing water and the wet, exposed conditions of ground level installation. It also carries an IK10 impact rating, reflecting a housing built to withstand knocks and pressure outdoors.
About Faro Barcelona
Faro Barcelona designs its own collections from its base in Castellbisbal, on the edge of Barcelona, with a particular strength in weather resistant outdoor fittings that combine cast metal housings with integrated LED engineering. The Loth reflects that approach, pairing a robust aluminium body with a sealed, long life light source.

Questions People Ask
Can I drive over the Faro Loth ground light?
Yes. Faro rates the Loth to take a load of up to 2000kg, so it can be walked over and driven over once installed, which suits positions such as the middle of a driveway or a busy path.
What does the IP67 rating on the Faro Loth mean?
IP67 means the Faro Loth is fully protected against dust and against temporary immersion in water, a higher level of protection than simple splash resistance, so it can be installed in fully exposed ground level positions and cope with standing water and driving rain.
How much light does the Faro Loth 4 Light give off?
The Faro Loth produces around 400 lumens from its integrated 13W LED, in a warm 3000K white, which is enough to mark a path, driveway or paved area rather than light up a whole garden.
Does the Faro Loth need an electrician to install?
Yes. The Loth is a mains powered fitting that must be hardwired into your outdoor electrical supply, so Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
