The Faro Crater is a generously scaled dome pendant that turns a single hanging light into the quiet centrepiece of a room. Its softly rounded, bell shaped shade is formed from aluminium and finished in a deep matte black, while the inside is lined in warm gold that catches the light and pushes a soft, flattering glow downwards. The black and gold finish

This version pairs a smooth matte black exterior with a lustrous gold interior, so the fitting reads as a calm dark silhouette when unlit and glows with a golden warmth once switched on. How it works

The Crater is a mains powered ceiling pendant that suspends from a slim cable and a matching black canopy, with the drop adjustable at installation to suit your ceiling height. It takes three E27 screw fit bulbs, each up to 15W, which are not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suit the space. It is not dimmable. As this is a hardwired fitting, Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where it works best

At roughly 45cm across, the Crater has the presence to anchor a kitchen island, a breakfast bar or a dining table, where its downward glow is ideal for task and mealtime lighting. A single pendant suits a smaller run, while a row of two or three makes a confident statement over a longer island or counter.
