This version comes in a dark grey aluminium finish, a warm charcoal tone that recedes into planting and paving by day and lets the light itself do the talking after dark. At 80cm tall it is the taller beacon in the Alp range, sitting above low planting and edging so it reads clearly along a longer approach. The body is built in cast aluminium with a transparent polycarbonate diffuser at the illuminated head, a combination chosen for outdoor durability and a clean, contemporary line. How it works

The Alp 800 uses an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. It gives a warm 3000K light, the softer, more welcoming end of white, with the driver built in and the fitting running on standard mains voltage. It is a ground mounted, hardwired beacon, so it needs a cable run out to its position and connecting into the mains supply. Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
