Will I get warm light from the clear glass version?
Not from the glass itself. The light colour depends on the bulbs you choose. If you want warm light, pick warm G9 bulbs. If you want bright white or daylight, choose those instead. The clear glass won't tint the light one way or the other.

How much light does this give?
Eight G9 bulbs at 10W each gives a good level of general lighting for most rooms. You can adjust the brightness with dimmable bulbs if you want flexibility.

Can I use it in a hallway or does it need to be above a mantelpiece?
You can use it anywhere on a wall. Many people mount it in hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where they want a striking focal point as well as good light.
