Brass Metalwork with Clear Glass Clarity
This Farnley wall light lets clear glass take centre stage, backed by a warm brass frame that adds richness without imposing a colour. Eight G9 positions arranged vertically provide even light spread across the wall's full height, with the brass adding depth and visual warmth while the clear glass allows your chosen bulb colour to come through faithfully.
Choosing Your Finish
The clear glass lets you control the light colour entirely through your bulb choice. Warm white feels warm, cool white feels cool, daylight stays balanced. The brass frame provides a warm metal context without colouring the light itself, creating an aesthetic of warmth and clarity combined. This same Farnley frame comes in black metal with clear glass, or in brass with amber and smoke glass options if you want either colour filtered light.
How It Works
Eight G9 sockets distributed down the fixture's height each accept a 10W maximum bulb. Pairing dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer gives you complete control over brightness and mood. Class I wiring means an earth connection is required during installation. The IP20 rating means this is for dry indoor use only, nowhere near moisture, steam, or splashing water.
Where It Works Best
The combination of warm brass and clear glass appeals equally in period and contemporary interiors. Use it in living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, or hallways where you want a warm metal aesthetic but prefer clarity in your light colour. The vertical orientation ensures the upper and lower wall areas both receive adequate illumination.
Design Details
Brass has a soft, welcoming quality that clear glass cannot provide alone. Here the two work in concert. The brass curves and creates dimensionality, while the clear glass panes remain transparent. Eight small panes repeated vertically creates gentle visual rhythm, and the brass naturally develops patina over time, adding character that ages gracefully.

Questions People Ask
How does this differ from the brass and amber version?
The frame is identical, but the amber version adds a golden colour filter to the light, while this clear version lets the bulb colour through unchanged. Choose amber if you want warmth added to the light; choose clear if you want to control that yourself with your bulb choice.
Is brass a traditional finish?
Brass can work in traditional spaces, but this fixture's modern frame geometry makes it feel contemporary. It suits eclectic interiors, Victorian properties, and spaces where you're mixing warm metals without following a strict period style.
What colour temperature bulbs work best with brass?
That's entirely your choice. Warm white bulbs with brass and clear glass feel cosy and luxurious. Cool white or daylight stays bright and crisp. Brass doesn't impose a colour temperature the way coloured glass does.
