It is wired to Class I electrical standards, requiring an earth connection. The maximum recommended ceiling drop is 420cm, measured from the installation rose to the lowest part of the frame. Dimmable bulbs combined with a compatible dimmer switch will give you moment to moment control over the light level.

Where It Works Best

The elongated oval shape is designed for tall spaces. It works best above a staircase with good vertical clearance, in a double-height entrance hall, or suspended over a dining table in a room with high ceilings. At 75cm wide and 120cm tall, it needs space around it to be appreciated properly. This is an indoor fitting only.

Is the brown oxide finish prone to tarnishing?
It is a protective oxide finish, so it will age gracefully over time but is not prone to the tarnishing you might see with silver or gold. It will develop a patina rather than losing colour.

What is the maximum brightness this pendant will give?
With 32 bulbs at 20W each, the maximum total wattage is 640W. In practice, 32 LED bulbs at 10W each will give bright, even light across the whole fitting without generating unnecessary heat.

Do I need a special switch for this pendant?
A standard light switch will work fine. If you want to dim, you will need dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, but the fitting itself does not require anything special.
