Is polished nickel the same as chrome?
Similar, but not identical. Polished nickel is warmer and slightly less reflective than chrome, which can sometimes feel too bright or institutional.

Will this match my existing metalwork?
Polished nickel sits well alongside stainless steel and brushed nickel finishes. If your room has a lot of warm gold or copper tones, the cooler nickel may feel at odds with them.
