Is this pendant too large for my space?
Victoria is indeed a generous size, but it's designed to be a statement piece. It works best in rooms with reasonably high ceilings and open layouts. If you're concerned, measure your space and check that the 50cm diameter won't overwhelm the table or island below.

Does the light go upward or downward?
The dome shape directs light primarily downward, so you get a good pool of light on the surface below rather than light bouncing off the ceiling. This makes it effective as a task or accent light.

Can I use a standard bulb or does it need to be special?
Any standard E27 bulb works, as long as it's 20W or less. LED, halogen, or incandescent all work fine, and if you use a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer, you can adjust the brightness.
