A single E27 bulb, up to 20W, sits inside the glass enclosure facing downward and isn't included, so you'll need to add your own. Built as an open pentagonal frame in metal around a dimpled glass cylinder, the Tavistock uses that textured glass to break up the light rather than let it shine straight through.
