It's wired to Class II electrical standards, meaning it's double insulated and doesn't require an earth connection. The IP20 rating means it's suitable for dry indoor areas only, so it wouldn't be appropriate for kitchens with high steam levels or bathrooms.

It uses a GU10 spotlight bulb, maximum 50W. LED G10 bulbs are a great option as they stay cool, use less energy, and last much longer than halogen alternatives.

Can I use this in my kitchen?
Technically yes, but if your kitchen produces lots of steam or moisture (like an island with an open plan living space), the IP20 rating means it's not ideal. It's better suited to offices, hallways or bedrooms where moisture levels are low.
