This wall light holds two GU10 spotlights behind a pair of clear acrylic rings, which take the edge off the beam and spread it more gently across the wall. The sand black frame keeps the fitting understated, so the glow from the rings is what catches your eye rather than the fitting itself. It's a compact, practical shape that suits a lot of different rooms.
Choosing Your Finish
Sand black has a soft, matte texture rather than a glossy one, which means it reads as contemporary without being harsh. It sits quietly against most wall colours, letting the acrylic rings and the light coming through them do the visual work.
How It Works
Two GU10 spotlights sit behind the acrylic rings, each one taking a bulb up to 50W, and the fitting has no inline switch of its own so it's controlled from your wall switch. It's wired to Class II electrical standards, so no earth connection is needed. Dimming depends on fitting a compatible dimmer to your wall circuit along with dimmable GU10 bulbs. With an IP20 rating, this is an indoor fitting for dry rooms only.
Where It Works Best
At just 6cm in diameter it tucks neatly into a hallway or bedroom wall, but the two spotlights give enough output for it to work in living rooms and dining areas too, and it holds its own in a kitchen as accent lighting over a worktop. Keep it away from bathrooms and other damp spots given the IP20 rating.
Design Details
The idea here is restraint, two spotlights and a pair of acrylic rings, nothing more. The rings are angled slightly so the light spreads more evenly rather than pooling in one spot, and the aluminium and acrylic construction keeps the whole fitting light and unobtrusive on the wall.
