Springfield pairs a black chrome fitting with a compact 16cm cylinder glass shade in a smoked fade finish, darker at the top and fading to clear toward the base. It takes an E27 lamp, so you have plenty of choice over the bulb style and warmth of light, and the slim shade lets a fair amount of glow escape rather than trapping it inside.

Being a single pendant it is well suited to grouping in multiples over a kitchen island or dining table, though it also works alone above a desk or in a hallway where you want a compact, modern drop light. The smoked glass and dark metalwork give it a slightly moody, contemporary feel.
