Warm Amber Light Through Champagne Glass
Three pumpkin shaped ribbed shades in champagne glass hang from a 123cm polished nickel bar, casting light with a distinctive warm, smoky amber tone rather than the neutral glow of clear or opal glass. The champagne glass tint combined with the ribbed texture creates a softer effect at night, turning what could be harsh brightness into something gentler and more inviting across a space.
Choosing Your Finish
The champagne glass is the real story here. It's darker and more tinted than opal, meaning the light it produces has color and character. Paired with the polished nickel frame, which is modern and reflective, you get an interesting contrast: contemporary metalwork with warmly tinted glass. The combination suits kitchens and dining rooms equally well.
How It Works
Three E27 lamp holders can each accept bulbs up to 60W maximum, letting you dial in how bright you want the amber cast light to be. Class II electrical standard means no earth connection is needed. The ribbed glass not only affects the color temperature but also softens the light distribution through its textured surface. Dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer give you flexibility from full brightness down to intimate evening lighting. IP20 rating restricts it to dry, well ventilated indoor spaces.
Where It Works Best
At 123cm, this pendant suits kitchen islands and dining tables where you want three separate pools of warm light. The champagne tint works particularly well above dining surfaces where you want the light to feel welcoming and warm. It's less typical for bright kitchen task lighting and more suited to spaces where ambiance matters as much as illumination.
Design Details
Champagne glass is less common than clear or opal, which makes choosing it a deliberate aesthetic decision. The ribbed pumpkin shape gains extra visual interest from the amber tinting, each shade becoming a glowing object in its own right rather than simply a diffuser. The polished nickel frame stays bright and contemporary, preventing the warm glass from reading as heavy or dated.

Questions People Ask
What's the practical difference between champagne and opal glass?
Opal glass is milk white and diffuses light in a neutral way. Champagne glass is tinted an amber brown, so the light it produces has actual color and warmth to it. It's more of a design choice than a functional one.
Will champagne glass make my kitchen look darker?
Not darker overall, but different. The light has warmth rather than neutrality. In bright daylight hours you won't notice much difference, but at night the amber tone becomes apparent and creates a very different mood than clear glass would.
Does the color of the glass affect brightness?
Yes, slightly. Any colored glass transmits slightly less light than clear, but the practical difference is minimal. Three 60W bulbs will still provide good illumination even with the champagne tint.
