Will this look too bright in a bedroom?
The large clear shade will give you plenty of light, so it's better suited to bedrooms where you want practical bright light rather than mood lighting. You can of course use dimmable bulbs if you want flexibility.

How is this different from the 30cm version?
This is a larger shade, 38cm across, so it throws light over a wider area and makes a bigger visual statement. The 30cm option is more compact if you prefer something less dominant on the ceiling.
