Matt black and clear glass make a classic combination, and this Mansfield semi flush light uses both well, with a tiered black ceiling plate holding a round thirty centimetre clear glass shade. It's a fairly compact fitting but the layered plate gives it a bit more depth than a basic flush light.

Fitted with two lamps, it puts out a good level of light for everyday use and sits close enough to the ceiling to suit rooms with limited height.
