Yes, it's designed as a semi-flush fitting, which means it sits much closer to the ceiling than a hanging pendant. The frame projects just 6cm or so, so it's perfect for rooms where headroom is tight.

Can I use it with a dimmer?
Yes, as long as you use dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch that's compatible with them. Regular bulbs won't work with most dimmers.

Is it okay for use in a kitchen?
Yes, it works well in kitchens, but it's not splashproof. If it's going near a hob or sink where there's a lot of steam or water spray, you might want something with a higher IP rating instead.
