How bright is eight lights?
Very. Eight bulbs gives you serious output, particularly useful in large rooms. The frosted shades soften the light rather than intensifying it, so it's bright but not harsh. You can adjust perceived brightness by fitting lower wattage bulbs or using dimmable bulbs with a dimmer switch.

Can I really change this between semi flush and pendant?
Yes. It comes with an adaptor that allows you to either mount it flush against the ceiling or hang it down. Your electrician can make this adjustment if you need to change it later.

Is it too heavy for my ceiling?
