Three Lights in a Row: Linear Logic for Kitchen Islands
This three light fitting from the Maida collection runs horizontally rather than radiating from a central point, which makes it the obvious choice for spreading light along the length of a kitchen island or dining table. Finished in polished nickel with textured prismatic glass shades, it can be hung as a semi flush close to the ceiling or dropped lower as a pendant, depending on your ceiling height and preference.
Choosing Your Finish
Polished nickel has a bright shine that catches light from the prismatic glass shades, giving the fitting a bit of sparkle and presence. It's warm enough to sit comfortably in traditional kitchens but bright enough for contemporary spaces. The same linear layout is available in other finishes across the range if you'd prefer a different look.
How It Works
Three E27 lamp holders are arranged along the length of the fitting, each taking a bulb up to 20W maximum. The bulbs are not supplied. Swap to dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch if you'd like to adjust the light level. It's wired to Class I electrical standards, meaning an earth connection is required for safe installation. An adaptor lets you hang this fitting as a low pendant or keep it close to the ceiling as a semi flush.
Where It Works Best
The linear design makes it ideal for islands, peninsula counters and dining tables where spreading light along the surface is more useful than a single central point. With a maximum drop of 136cm, you've got flexibility in how high or low you position it, so it works in both standard and lofted ceiling spaces. Its polished nickel finish pairs well with chrome or stainless steel appliances and hardware.
Design Details
The prismatic glass shades have a subtle texture that both diffuses the light and catches it attractively, creating visual interest as the light inside hits the textured surface. Three separate light sources give better distribution than a clustered design, and the linear arrangement is inherently practical and visually straightforward.

Can I use this over a kitchen island?
Yes. The linear design is made for islands, distributing light along the length of the counter. Plan on hanging it high enough that it doesn't obstruct your view down the island.
How low can I hang it?
You can drop it up to 136cm below the ceiling, so you've got plenty of flexibility depending on your counter height and preference.
Are the bulbs included?
No. This fitting takes three E27 bulbs which you'll need to source separately.
