How It Works

One E27 bulb up to 20W (bulb sold separately) sits inside the frosted glass shade. The fitting is dimmable if you use dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch. It wires to Class I standard, so an earth connection is required during installation. The IP20 rating means it is for dry indoor spaces only and should not be positioned near bathrooms, kitchens with steam, or anywhere exposed to splashing water.

Where It Works Best

This pendant works beautifully hung singly over a dining table, or in groups of two or three above a kitchen island. It suits living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining areas and hallways equally well. The warm gold and frosted glass pair happily with both traditional and contemporary interiors. Given the IP20 rating, it is not suitable for bathrooms.

Questions People Ask

Can I shorten the drop on this pendant?
It comes with a maximum drop of 180cm. Most electricians can shorten the flex if your ceiling is lower, but this would be a job to do at installation time.

How many of these would I need above a kitchen island?
It depends on the island size, but two or three is typical. For a 1.2m island, two pendants work well. For something longer, three pendants give a better light spread.

Does the shade get too hot to touch?
It will warm up when in use, but the frosted glass distributes heat more evenly than a clear shade would, so it should not become uncomfortably hot.
