It wires to Class I standard, meaning it requires an earth connection during installation. With IP20 protection, it is designed for dry indoor spaces and cannot be used near moisture, steam or anywhere it might catch splashing water.

This flush light suits living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining areas and hallways where you want flat ceiling mounting. The IP20 rating means bathrooms are not appropriate. Does this light give off a lot of heat?
No more than any other standard bulb holder. The frosted glass does disperse the light evenly so the glass itself does not get uncomfortably hot like it might with a clear shade.

Can I fit this where a pendant is currently hanging?
Not directly. This is a flush mount that sits flat to the ceiling, whereas a pendant hangs down from it. You would need to install new ceiling wiring and fixings for a flush light.

Is the frosted glass breakable?
Yes, like any glass shade. It is not impact resistant, so handle with care during installation and avoid bumping it once it is fitted.
